In My Mailbox Monday

I didn't get much this week. It's been a crazy week and the weekend appears to have just flown by me. I feel like I missed it all together. But I did manage to buy some Kindle books earlier in the week. So here's what I got on my Kindle for iPad.

Whispers in the Night by Tananarive Due and Brandon Massey

Fledgling by Octavia E. Butler

Only His by Susan Mallery

Welp, that's all I got. :-(

What books have you recently bought, checked out or received?

  1. Great books :)

    Have a great week,

    Rachel @ Fictional Fantasy

PS - Come and check out my IMM if you get a chance!

  2. I hear great things about Only His. Hope you enjoy!

  3. It was a quick weekend, wasn't it? Hope you enjoy your books.

Congratulations on your healthy choices (I read a few posts today). Good luck!

  4. Thanks Rachel, I will be over there ASAP. Thanks for stopping by. I hadn't heard anything about it, it was in my price range and had some good ratings on Amazon so I got it. I hope it's good.

Karen, this week went by so fast, I still don't know what I did. It seems the older I get, the faster time goes by, but when I was younger it took forever for birthdays and Christmases to come around. Thanks for reading some of my posts today.

  5. I have no idea where September went! I love Only His... Good luck w/ this week!

  6. Looks like you got some good reads...I have another book by Tananarive Due, which I'll be reviewing this month of spooky reads! If you feel like it come check out my books

  7. 3 books is more than enough!!! Plus they sound pretty good to me! :)

    Xpresso Reads
P.S. I've also got a new giveaway on my blog for Remembrance if you want to enter.

  8. Thanks y'all. I guess 3 books isn't bad. Sometimes I get so use to getting a bigbole stash that when I don't get as many as feel like the kid that didn't get any birthday cake. But 3 is awesome and I happy with that. :-) thanks everyone for reminding how great that is.

  9. You'll never be at a loss for a book to read! lol

I'm so busy writing, keeping house, and tending to my heath, that I hardly have time to read a book, but I am reading (a few pages here; a few pages there)"The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks." It's good and very well written!

  10. Lena, I get nervous when I get more books in a week than I can read, because I feel that I should read every single book that enters my house, and read it soon. So, 3 books would be just fine to me.

Especially Fledgling! I read Kindred which I very much enjoyed. Unfortunately, in the Netherlands (at least where I live) neither the library nor the book stores have books by Butler (I know, I checked). A real pity.

    Happy reading this week.

  11. I loved Fledgling. Then again, I love everything that Octavia Butler wrote. Enjoy your reading.
